Running the John Muir Trail

We started the John Muir Trail at Happy Isle in Yosemite Valley and ran south towards Mt Whitney. Over a 3 day period we completed 120+ miles of the trail and ran through bouts of thick smoke caused by the historic Aspen Fire. The fire burned 2o,000 acres of High Sierra back country and took several thousand wild fire fighters over month to contain. Below are some photos from the adventure. We are currently making a short film of the John Muir Trail experience as seen through the eyes of Bedrock barefoot athlete Naresh Kumar. Look for the film’s release in the next month!
